What we do
Foundations, footings — anything that needs a hole in York County ground. Dug right the first time.
Buildings, barns, slabs and old foundations. We take the structure down, clear the site, and leave ground you can build on.
One contractor from teardown to turnover. Site packages run under one name, one phone number, one point of contact.
Cut, fill and grade. Lots, pads and drainage shaped so the build starts on solid, level ground.
Listing pending owner sign-offInstallation from test pit to final grade. We coordinate the engineer and pull the permits — you make one phone call.
Listing pending owner sign-offDemo note: excavation, demolition and general contracting are the company’s lines of business. The earthwork and septic listings reflect customer-documented jobs and will be confirmed with the owner before launch.
“A great job!”
— Richard, customer review on Angi (septic system installation)
“Some of the best earthwork contractors in Maine.”

About
Levesque’s Excavation has been moving Maine ground for three decades and counting. Not a franchise, not a rollup — one Sanford company, with the owner’s name on the trucks.
David Levesque runs the company, and he still runs the jobs. One customer’s review describes him surveying the land, testing the soil, lining up the engineer and pulling the permits himself — then finishing ahead of schedule.
And the company is still building at home: in December 2025, the commercial building at 402 Lebanon Street earned its certificate of occupancy. Three decades in, still investing, still growing.
Call, and you’re dealing with the owner. Just the work.
